7ply limba-5ayous-limba. Everything is sanded and rounded out so it has slight premium feel at least visually.
I enjoy the limba outer ply never had opportunity to run my fingers and palm down a naked limba surface but it looks and feels a bit too thin for limba (or maybe because I tried out my buddies newly assembled "joola aruna hinoki off" which had much thicker hinoki top layer and felt superb). I also have a complaint about handle as it feels hollow and too light for my tastes. If i tap on the handle with my fingernail it produces hollow sound which bothers me. Balances out a bit further away from the "BLACK * SERIES" logo on the blade surface which makes it head heavy. For me personally it feels a bit awkward to play with because when I glue heavy and hard modern rubbers onto it the "head-heaviness" makes me grip handle harder and higher up. I have been playing with this blade for about a month so not going to rate it yet.
