first of all this, is a great long pip for blocking at the table, if not the best. BUT it takes a lot of skill and practice to use it effectively.no rubber for beginners. its fast , very fast in fact. if you're gonna use this pip you'll have te build your gear and game around it. a very slow blade is a must(otherwise it is simply uncontrollable), preferably with hard outer plies to maximise spin reversal. it is difficult to block with it, but if you do you'll win the point. it is hard to hit with it but the effect on the ball when you succeed wil win you the point. chopblocking , again very hard but very effective. the pips can be used to play very deceptive balls but you wil need good hands. since it is fast an not at all frictionless you will have to choose your bat angle carefully when playing. the one thing it is not suited for is playing away from the table.
