(Black 2.2 on a 5-ply wood blade, forehand)
This rubber is, of course, a great deal. It is also durable and reliable for all your strokes. This is a quintessential Chinese rubber: flat pip structure and a hard sponge that take a lot of energy to activate, relying on tackiness to grip the ball. This means controlled topspin rallies and also reliable, no-spin ball placement in the touch game. Where the hard sponge prevents the ball from digging in, such as in over-the-table play and lifting backspin, the tackiness makes these shots effective. 729 FX will accommodate whatever stroke you need, however flat-hitting is its weakest point: the tackiness slows the ball down.
