Customer review for Nittaku Violin

Nittaku Violin
My previous experience with pure wood blade was BTY petr korbel, but I didn't like it, so I had the impression that pure wood blade is not my type. After I tried violin for the first time, I was kind of surprised - the flex of the wood let me feel it is superior to all my carbon blades. Looping, chopping and serving are all exceptional. Low arc but very accurate. Since it is very thin (5.4mm), when you hit hard over certain amount of strength, it will not accelerate further - this is the only drawback. Rubbers used are Tuttle golden LV FH, Sanwei A+ tacky BH. Despite of my rubbers are cheap heavy hard ones, it performs very well, really a pleasure to play with. Update: after several sessions, I found that it's hard to find perfect rubbers for this blade, especially the forehand. It's too soft and flexible, might not suitable for the new 40+ balls. But not bad for training.
