→ Pips-Out Rubber → Nittaku Moristo SP AX
→ Nittaku Rubber Sheets → Nittaku Moristo SP AX
This rubber is very different from the more famous Moristo SP (which can produce a real knuckle ball) so don't let that confuse you. Moristo SP AX is Nittaku's only horizontally aligned high-tension short pip, comparable to Victas VO>102, Butterfly Impartial XS, and Yasaka Rakza PO. Compared to those other short pips, Moristo SP AX feels a little more stable, more controlled on softer shots, and a little bit heavier (probably one of the heaviest short pips I've tried, but still pretty light compared to inverted). This is a do-all short pip with playing characteristics similar to inverted rubber. It is not bad at anything, unless you value deception and spin reversal... if those things are important to you, you probably shouldn't be using spin-oriented short pips with horizontal alignment. This is currently the forehand rubber of Japanese Youtuber and coach Yoyo Kawaguchi (search for yoyo takkyu).
