This rubber is one of my favorite rubbers of all time. It beats Rozena, Donics, the chinese tacky stuff etc.
Put this on a outer carbon blade and you will have the opponent run for cover when smashing. It might be possible to find faster rubbers but nothing I have tried yet myself. And im not looking to go faster as its irrelevant at this level of speed it has. At one point more speed isnt really needed and more control and spin will be more important. This is where G1 shines. The Japanese found the right balance. The right sweet spot. For the serious player.
Arc is not crazy high. More straight shots at high speed. but if you know what you are doing holy moly. Throw angle not high as well.
Dont misread.... if you like looping it will do it very well. With aggression. G1 means action. You GOT TO engage the sponge. move forward. attack. passive play.... your looking at the wrong rubber. bounce is there but not crazy. easy to control....
Oh did I say its easy to control btw? It is. with proper technique.
Its like this: G1 wants to teach you TT and make you sweat. It demands legwork and proper movements. If you are a lazy sunday player standing up swatting flies, move on. Not for you. However, if you play proper, damn you get a response. It will love you. You will love it. G1 doesnt like me on my off days where im just too tired to bother giving 110%. It loves me when I do. There are more forgiving rubbers than G1. Spin is crazy good. Best serves I made driving my friends insane. Im impressed with how spinny it is. Grippy, not tacky.
One of the best selling rubbers in Asia. Still. after all these years. On tabletennis11 you can get 4 for the price of 3 at already great individual price rubber. I dont work for them. I just shop there. G1 outlasts in longevity all other rubbers I ever tried. Its still good after 10-12 months of 5 days a week usage. I change it at that time but not even sure I needed to.
