It is very obvious that this is a Balsa-Carbon blade. The minimal dwell time with mid-hard and hard rubbers paired with the carbon gives instant kill shots. Mid-soft and soft rubbers bottom-out very quickly. The more you hear the balsa-carbon ping sound indicates how difficult this blade will be for beginners and intermediate players. It is going to take time to learn how to use all the gears this blade brings to the setup for any player. The blade flex does not happen at all no matter how hard you hit. The weakness is the far-away from the table play ( more than 6 to 8 feet / >2metres ) the balsa holds back the carbon layer stiffness.
Close and mid-distance play allows for very powerful drives. Requires the player to understand the setup speed difference over-the-table, table-end and one-step away from the table. There is enough speed variations to allow playing early or late a variety of shots.
Just do not expect this to be a counter-looping setup. Loop and loop-drive with kill shots mixed in. Power and speed near-table and mid-table distances.
I cant say much for modern defense but this might be ideal for that kind of game.
