I've tested this rubber in red, 39 2,2 thickness.
I have also tested the normal Hurricane 3 version (black, 39, 2,15) so I will compare those two.
The blade that I used for testing was an allround 5 ply wood. So it's a flexible and control oriented blade.
I haven't applied any kind of boosting, not even on the H3.
I found the H3 better on forehand. Topsheet of the H3 is tackier than H3N. Comparing with Xiom Omega 7 China Guang, H3 its tackier and has more control, it has the same amount speed on fast swings. The difference is that with slow movements you can get more speed with Omega 7. If you make a slow movement with H3 the ball will go to the net, or sometimes it won't reach the net. The reason some people generaly consider H3 or H3N as being overall slow is because on a normal game situation is really dificult to be always well positioned to make that fast swing.
H3N 39 feels softer and is less demanding than H3. It's not necessarily faster than H3. It's just easier to activate. I didn't like H3N on forehand. I actually bought ir for the backhand and in my opinion it's a very good BH rubber. If was going to use it on forehand I'd choose the 40 or 41 version. Serves and receptions seems to be good with both H3 and H3N, always having more control with H3. I can confirm something I read before considering the throw of the H3N. On average it will have a high throw but it variates according to speed.
The higher the speed the lower the throw. On H3, this kind of variation is much less noticiable.
There's another trend on H3N that right now I can't totally confirm . It should fell softer right out of the package (as a result of the preboosting effect) and the this softness will decrease withing two days. In fact I have noticed this.
The other part of the trend I can't confirm yet. After one week or so (with active trainning), the rubber should feel softer again. It's seems plausible
