(Context: Penhold w/RPB) Upgraded to this blade from the Yasaka Silver All-wood as my first carbon blade. I am currently using this blade paired with Skyline 2 Provincial Blue Sponge(40 degrees) and Hurricane 8-80(38 degrees) and after playing with this setup for around 3 months I can say for sure that the speed of this blade is not for the faint of heart. When I first got the blade I used Battle 2 on the forehand and it was uncontrollable to say the least; especially when transitioning from an all-wood blade. However, after playing with it a bit more and changing the rubber to Skyline 2, it definitely got easier to control but still paled in comparison to the control of my previous blade albeit it was still about twice as fast. The stiffness or lack of vibration of the blade also makes this blade a bad choice for beginners as it provides very minimal feeling when paired with rubbers 50(38 dhs scale) degrees and over. However, for more advanced players who have good technique and power, this blade is everything you could ask for, safe and spinny loops have a high degree of spin and good speed, kill loops are borderline unreturnable, and active and passive blocking can be performed easily, counter topspins and counter loops will almost always be rockets, but dropshots require good touch to get a second bounce(do keep in mind that these properties are with the rubbers I am currently using). If you are an intermediate player looking to get this blade, I would recommend getting a backhand rubber that is 47.5(37 dhs scale) degrees or lower and a forehand rubber 52.5(39 dhs scale) degrees or lower to make the blade easily controllable on both wings, but for more advanced players, I believe you'll find this blade most enjoyable when paired with harder rubbers that min-max for speed and spin. Beginners should steer away from this blade as it requires you to know how to play. It will not teach you anything nor give you much room for error due to its lack of vibration.
