Very popular blade in Russia, even one of the most popular. It has good price and a lot of value for this money.
This blade doesnt have a lot of speed (8 out of 10), but feelings are excellent. A liittle muted but clear feeling and some elastic in the center of blade. So hardness I think between medium and medium-hard, but It feels as medium, clear and unique.
I haven't been playing it on long distance (cant say anything), but on close and mid distances it is great.
I tried it at the same time as dhs 301, pro01 and harimoto alc.
***Speed: Pro01 > Harimoto > 301 > Skachkov
***Block: Pro01 > Skachkov > Harimoto > 301
***Control: Skachkov (great job with low speed balls) > Pro01 (very good) > Harimoto (I dont know, perhaps It needs other rubbers, now T19 & Bluestorm Z2) > 301 (not enough energy to return rotten flat balls over net)
***Feelings: Pro01 (exceptional clear) > Skachkov (bouncy everywhere) > 301 (flexible & no linear speed) > Harimoto (bad feelings, but you can play if you havent learned it)
***Loops: not sure, every blade is not bad there
***Handle (FL): Skachkov = Pro-01 > 301 (a little bit small) > Harimoto (sligtly uncomfotable)
I really love play Skachkov close to table and mid distance using tactical game, changing tempo and directions.
My Skachkov is paired with Dhs Goldarc8 (perfect) and Dhs 8-80 (I need to get used to this). Two Dhs Goldarc8 would be excellent set.
Recommend to try!
