Customer review for Donic Desto F3

Donic Desto F3
The opinion of an intermediate 40 years old player is that Desto F3 is an under-rated rubber. I use a Desto F3 max at my forehand, with a Yinhe T8S blade. It gives me extra control with the soft rubber, but it is aggressive enough with its elastic topsheet. My drives flow well and I do not need super speed in intermediate games, but control.
When practicing, it is a pleasant rubber to play at my forehand. I know I am a lot more aggressive with a Butterfly Schlager Carbon and a Donic BlueGrip V1 for example. I have more speed and spin and it is more difficult for my opponent to block or counter. However, games are completely different from practicing. Desto F3s good control is something that opponents cannot exploit and this wins games.
PROS:
Control: The control is superb and no matter if, it is a short game or far from table, you will hit the ball with confidence.
Receiving serves: this is very important to guarantee your point, a good receive.
Sound is amazing. Once I played at a different city where there were no Donic users, even the advanced players came to see and try my Desto F3 intrigued by its sound.
Softness: It is very soft, of course, but it is not too slow. It is elastic.
CONS:
Speed: I said it is not too slow, but of course, you will need strength to print speed on the ball. Moreover, when you realize that you have good control and need extra speed and spin, it is time to try a more aggressive rubber.
Spin: It has a moderate spin and despite it is easy to top spin, the ball will not be difficult to receive. However, again, it is best to top spin with moderate spin than have a super spinning ball missing the table.
Serves: the lack of spin makes serves not too spiny.
Overall, it is a good rubber and I give it 9 of 10 thinking on intermediate players like me today. Players who were tired of using harder and faster rubbers, and losing for all average players after a great practice section.
