holy cow i love this rubber! Now I'm an old spinner-type of person who basically hates the new plastic ball. So I had to figure out equipment all over again. I used to use Waldner Senso Carbon with Tenergy 05 on both sides and I played about 1900 with that equipment. Fast forward 10 years and it's been very difficult to find something that can spin the ball slowly or quickly as needed, serve & serve return, block, and so on. I tried a bunch of faster blades as well, in general I think slightly faster blades are necessary. So I changed to a Timo Boll ALC and tried Dignics 05 and 09C because everyone else seemed to like it. But after a short time those rubbers lose grip and I'm making far too many mistakes. Well, BlueGripC2 to the rescue. Literally in 1 day, my unforced errors were reduced by 50%. In 3 days, I think 75% reduction of errors. I put max on both sides and the blade is just a bit heavy for my liking. My friend tried my paddle and instantly liked it and he bought 2.0 on both sides. So then we were switching paddles back and forth as we did multi-ball for a while. This makes me qualified to make this review. I think Max is best for Forehand, but 2.0 is just fine for backhand. With C2 you can serve great. it's very grippy but doesn't pick up the ball upside down like some sticky chinese rubbers. But this means your serve return will be good as well. You can really dig a push and get great spin. You can block and punch block with ease. With that hard sponge you can reloop someone else's slow loop with ease right off the bounce. And you can absolutely punish any long push with ease, easily opening deep with heavy spin. And surprisingly, you can rip fairly well. No, you cannot rip as easily as you can with Dignics 05. No firm sponge rubber can do that. But you can do EVERYTHING ELSE far suprior: serve, serve return, block, push, first opening spinny loop, flat smash. And isn't that 90% of the game? So in 1 sentence: Dignics 05 is better for loop against block in drills; and Donic BlueGrip C2 is better for everything else including playing matches and keeping the ball on the table reducing errors and playing all sorts of strange people that you will encounter.
