I chose M2 as a substitute for Acuda S2 on a j-pen set up looking for more hard hitting capability. IMO the S2 is for controlled spin-attacking game. And, yes the M2 being heavier and a little harder, is more suitable for more aggressive game. But both are very similar. Mine is a red 2.0 but the first time I played w/. it it felt like 2.5 glued rubber (?). Also compared to the Rasant (2.0) they are very similar in the attacking game but the M2 is more versatile playing small shots. The truth is that I haven't found anything "that" extraordinary about the M2 except it's a good all-around attacking rubber. By the way, I didn't find that chemical substance they say it has.
