I used this blade for a few years before I switched to Butterfly Innerforce, thinking the IF will provide more wood feel and control. I started to like IF because it has more dwell time. However, in a game when you play against strong players, Innerforce just put you at disadvantage. It is slow and you have to hit hard to generate speed, and therefore your motion needs to be big, and you will often be out of balance.
Last night, out of frustration, I switched back to TB ALC during a game and what a difference it made. Every stroke, with the same motion, is more powerful. And to control it, you can't use too much force. But that is a good thing. A little bit of motion and the ball is to the other side, and it's easier for you to recover and ready for next stroke. But you don't need to very often, because it's just much more powerful and my opponent can't return my stroke!
So now I am fully committed to this old bad boy, TB ALC. It doesn't provide as much feel as IF, and sometimes you really need to be careful with the stroke because it is very easy to hit it over the table. But the result is clear. With TB ALC, you win more points. That's what matters.
