I am new to the T05 being a player that had come from H3, 09c, G1 as my preferred playing rubbers. I went 1.9m as I was concerned about the talked about difficulty about this rubber....and I have been surprised that all the fear was unfounded for me. I have found this rubber easy to control and very consistent, allowing me to play with confidence and aggression. I like to attack and drive my opponent away from the table and this rubber is strong for this, particularly with open up attacks. It makes a great clicking sound which is a great audio reference to your technique being correct. I have found the 1.9 very good at the short game and able to apply lots of spin. I think the thinner sponge works better for me coming from Low to no catapult setups as I feel very confident near and away from the table with this rubber. Potentially the max versions might be a bit harder for me to control and impact my short game, but I have to say, the amount of grip you get on the ball for me seems to overcome these concerns people talk about. Serving is excellent and it receives very well....I have a feeling from a spin sensitive point of view, if you are a passive player you will have problems, but if you like to apply spin actively, then it works. I would say the 09c is faster as it is a harder rubber so you can transfer more power into your shots, but I would say the T05 is easier to generate speed in general so your shots are consistently faster with the T05 is a match situation. I find the 09c is ordinary in softer,.passive shots where are the T05 helps you out more. First impressions are that it is a very user friendly rubber if you like to play more offensive. If you are worried about it from all the talk...just go the 1.9mm...I have found it easy to control.
