I am a beginner (almost 4 months of training) and this was my second rubber. The marketing of this rubber is spot on: safety, control and mistake tolerance.
The rubber has great dwell time, so it helped me learn to adjust the angle of my racket when looping or blocking. It is relatively easy to loop at close or mid distance. Despite being very controllable, the sponge is hard enough to generate great speed when doing a full body stroke, so you can finish the point. It is also great for blocking when the ball comes with some speed and it is also decent at pushing. Finally, the price is very competitive, at $35 it is a bit cheaper than other similar rubbers (like Rakza 7). If you are developing an offensive game and are learning and perfecting the different strokes, you can't go wrong with Rozena. Combined with my ALL blade, my equipment encouraged me to control and then finish the point with a well-placed full body stroke.
Nevertheless, like any other rubber in existence, it is not for everyone. If you don't have couching and don't do technique drills as a beginner, it could be harder to control than other options. On the other hand, for people that have already developed some technique, Rozena may feel boring because it has less grip (so it generates less spin, specially noticeable when serving), less speed and less catapult than most other tensor rubbers on the market. Less speed and less catapult also mean that you have to put more force in your strokes to finish the point or do damage to the opponent (especially if you are using an all wood blade as most beginners do), and in long tournaments you may get more tired.
