I find this blade to be very ergonomic, it really fits the average size hand well, easy to maintain your grip for hours without chiseling into the side of your finger. Now about the speed - I honestly can't say its any faster than my other cheaper OFF blades (Stiga, Donic), BUT just like my other carbon blades the drive shots are very direct, as straight as an arrow, but my observation that this is attributable to the carbon technology rather than a speed effect. I gave it 4 stars because it cost a lot and does not deliver any noticeable additional speed compared to blades costing $50, in which case it would definitely deserve full 5 stars. My advice is to prioritize carbon for your blade at a lower price and if possible feel the grip before you purchase because we are all slightly different and this is crucial to your long term satisfaction, if you know a model fits your hand well, stick with it! when looking for speed - just choose a fast rubber like Tenergy and you will be satisfied regardless of the price of your blade, and yes, I have verified this for myself.
