As a modern defender, I've tried a lot of defensive blades. I am usually torn between having a very good defensive backhand long pips chop and a slow counter attack forehand from mid distance OR a fast forehand mid distance counter attack and and a difficult hard to chop backhand with long pips.
This blade the willow and limba allow me to chop with my backhand to generate enough backspin and when I need to counter loop with my forehand from mid distance the ZLF kicks in.
I would strongly consider this for a modern defender. Who want to attack with forehand and backhand chop. I use feint long 2 1.00 (allowing me to chop and block). I use Joola Rhyzer Pro 50 max thickness forehand.
