Butterfly Apolonia ZLC
I'm playing table tennis since 40+ years with variable attacker style.

After playing a Butterfly VSG-4000 for a long time and I methodically wanted to improve my racket. The first step was when I discovered the Butterfly Rozena and Roundell Soft (bh), both in 2.1mm.
But I felt the VSG25-4000 lacks of power and feeling. I wished more ball feeling and dynamic response, with a spread range from passive play up to aggressive attack.

So I tried some rather OFF- blades from various brands and was unsatisfied, feeling there is hardly an improvement to my older Butterfly, too low spin curves...
I described as precise as I could my dissatisfaction to the salesperson who was an active experienced player and he suggested me the "Apolonia ZLC" blade, claiming that this is just what I said about my wishes. The price surely wasn't meant when he said that...

Description:
It was love at the first hits and very different than what I thought by reading the Butterfly catalogue! Actually this blade wasn't even on my trial list.
The speed is amazing when hitting from half distance. But what really blew me away is the incredible precision combined with spin. I simply get the ball to go wherever I want!!! The sound is crisp, but attractive!
But I'm a variable player, so actually I wasn't looking of OFF only blades. Here was what I call an enlarged dynamic range. I tried to play what this blade is not supposed to be good for - but is was! Touch play and block was actually better than my old VSG21-4000. The speed wasn't high when using the Apolonia passively.
Meanwhile I played the racket with the Buttefly Apolonia, Rozena 2.1 (fh) and Roundell Soft 2.1 (bh) with several guys in my club. The improvement of my play is really significant and this is not just psychology! The self confidence for aggressive flips and topspin increased a lot because it just works so much better.

The build quality of the blade couldn't be any better, but anyway I think the price of the blade is too high!
