Customer review for Andro Rasanter R42

Andro Rasanter R42
Good balance of characteristics, and okay for controlled offensive play. Spin and speed are more than enough for most players, although doesn't have the super top end speed of harder sponge alternatives. Sponge is medium, with a hint of springy softness to it. Throw angle between Vega Europe and Vega Pro, with speed similar to Vega Europe. Or, could be considered a rough combination of Rakza 7 and Rakza 7 Soft, if they were combined, but slightly closer to standard R7. Quite 'springy' in new ULTRAMAX thickness, but that's expected for most tensor MAX sponge options. If more control is desired, just go thinner sponge. I'm using MAX on the Nittaku S-5, and it works well. I've noticed the topsheet of these rubbers feels harder than some older Euro tensors like R7S or XVE, either because it actually is a harder topsheet, or the pip structure is wider. Either way I'm not keen on that feeling and would prefer say Evo FX-P, if looking for a soft/medium rubber with medium throw angle.
