→ High Spin Rubber → Andro Rasanter R42
→ Andro Rubber Sheets → Andro Rasanter R42
Mounted Rasanter R42 on the FH side of my Xiom Omega Tour as a replacement for Nittaku Fastarc G-1, which had good speed and spin, but did not give me the dwell time I wanted. R42 did the trick. It's as spinny as the Adidas P7 on my BH side, plenty fast enough, and gave me a bit more time on my stroke. I was anxious to embrace a new "plastic ball" rubber, but the idea of making my paddle too heavy was a deterrent. I was pleased to find that the uncut sheet of R42 in 2.0mm weighed in at 61 grams. In comparison, Fastarc G-1 is 65g, Xiom Omega 5 Europe is 70g, Tibhar El-S is 71g, and Tibhar MX-P is 73g! That meant a weight savings of 3-8 grams mounted! I have rated this rubber's weight as light for this reason. I really need to play this for awhile to see how it holds up, but first time out, I found it easy to play, not requiring any adjustments in my stroke.
