It produces the most precise and cleanest cuts and nothing else comes close (scissors, sharpie, knives, other so called 'rubber cutters'). The trick to cutting the rubber well with this knife is to hold it with the index finger on top with the thumb and the middle finger on the side of the knife. In other words, hold it like a pen and push it down as you move along the shape of the racket blade. It worked well.
it's a scalpel, hard to cut rubber. I found it better to use sharp scissors. Go to sally beauty and drop $30-50 on a sharp scissor and then dip in soapy water when cutting. You get an awesome cut.
Blade is sharp but too flexible and the handle is so thin it's hard to grip and control.
