Years ago I switched to long pips from inverted smooth rubber on my backhand. It seemed a good idea, but I could never unlearn my tendencies learned from decades of smooth attacking rubber. I tried a dozen different long pips, and each was the same. I had as much trouble with the pips as my opponents had with them! But I tried Victas Curl P2V 1.0 and it was a revelation. I can attack loops to my backhand side repeatedly. The harder I hit, the better my shot, whether at or away from the table. I do it by hitting through, then over the ball (a no-no with other long pips). My first shot is spinless, but my opponent is always in the net on my second one. I have no idea what the spin is doing from the second shot on! Also know that the "spin reversal" is modest but still effective.
