hi Its not the problem of the rubber.May be you are not contacting the ball rightly.Bent your knees properly and time the ball and here you can use your wrist more to throw the ball more since ball is having heavy backspin.Short action is more good for long deep type balls. Well type of rubber you can use depends on you action and swing.If it is short action use soft sponge rubbers.If it is long then go for only hard sponge rubbers.
