I play with the KLHS and chop with it once in a while. It works good due to the fact that the top veneer of wood is thick and takes a little power to get down to the A/C. Perfect to play aggressive and passive. Just know that KLHS has a compact head and most choppers prefer a larger head just like the M pro special. I also think willow would more suit a chopper than koto
