Well there could be couple of reasons: 1. they sandwitch sheets of seperate materials with different coefficienct of expansion. like wood, aralyte, glass fibre, carbon fibre, chocolate chip cookies :) 2. the handles are often hollow to reduce weight and are not nailed in like some of the olden time rackets :) my guess is pure wooden blades may have better life. |
