it sounds like there maybe some topspin on there too if it is flying up also.The easiest way to judge spin is to watch their follow through.Which ever direction their follow through goes is the way the ball will travel off your blade.If they follow through to the left the spin off your blade will cary the ball to their left or your right. so aim opposite of their follow through and close you blade angle a little to counteract their top spin.Once you get better you can just powerloop these sidespin shots with ease sometimes you can just drive right through them.You might want to give it a shot next time wait for the ball to hit its peak off the bounce and loop it hard right back at the middle of the table.good luck
