I'm suspicious that they are simply threatening the ban to keep other companies from doing it. DrN is just buying a cheap chinese topsheet for .50 each and spraying epoxy on it and charging $50. If chinese companies were to jump in and do the same the price would quickly drop to $5.

As long as the status quo remains drN will continue to make $45 per sheet and and I'm sure none of that money makes its way into the ittf committe reelection campaign funds, so to speak... So I believe they are trying to preserve how things are as long as they can. Threaten a ban to keep others from jumping in but not really ban it.
