peter, your friend is right.maybe your giving him SLOW topspin balls, that's why they have no trouble in returning it.your lucky that they only use blocking when if fact you can immediately drive back the ball.try to catch the return ball below table level and give back the ball in different directions,in that way the direction of your return will be more concealed and you can give more power and whiplash in your loops.
