I assume you're trying to get topspin with your backhand. I ask this only because many entry level players use their backhands for backspin a lot. If it is topspin, the above posts give good advice. May I also suggest bounce drills? Drop the ball on the table and take it about 10" off the bounce. Practice coming over the top of the ball. This will force you to generate 100% of the spin needed to keep the ball on the table. When you're playing an opponent (or robot) your spin will increase at it bounces against theirs. Cole |
