Some people (like myself) like to glue their rubber to the blade every time they play. Keeping glue in the sponge increases speed, spin, and feel. It's a lot of trouble, esp stripping the old glue off the sponge. Expensive too. Not recommended for those who don't really want to put tons of time into the sport.
