most typical clicking sounds comes from the ball fully sinking into the sponge and getting to the wood from doing sponges or hard loops.

The nice clicking sound you are looking for on your spinny loops come from the speedglue effect and some rubbers just have a nice clicking sound when you loop. a nice little tick that lets you know you just did some beautiful shit

I would look for relatively softer rubbers or higher tensioned rubbers and the best way is speed glue.
