| Speed refers more to how much kick it adds if you don't take a big swing. Is it really bouncy feeling? Power is more like does it top out quickly when you take a big stroke? Does it have a high gear? It seems that thinner topsheets on active sponges are speedy, where thicker topsheets are more powerful. Speedy equipment tends to feel fastest when you're at the table. Powerful kicks in from a distance. At least that's how I've interpreted it from the usage I've run across. |
