| long pips are not supposed to help you produce your own spin. when you chop their backspin you are really letting the spin pass through and even though it looks like you are chopping you are actually sending back a topspin chop. When you chop their topspin (not recommended) you send back backspin. topspin should be either hit or pushed with long pips. and if you are extremely daring you can loop backspin in which you will produce topspin. |
