Yeah, traditional chinese rubbers aren't for looping. They're for serving, pushing, then driving right through the ball for flat kills. For good looping you need a softer rubber. Friendship does make some good looping rubbers. Fxel and faster are probably the best. Cream with magic red sponge is a nice hybrid between the two styles. Also, dawei 388a-4 on 2.5 is a good looping chinese rubber.
