You can't go wrong with getting RITC Friendship products. Really good quality and its cheap.
I use:
729 Bomb Blade (Fast but good control) $17.99
FH: Focus III (Fast and Spinny but with good control) $13.99
BH: Dr. Evil (No Sponge, good control, pretty slow, generates some spin when you want it to, and good for flat shots)$9.99

I do also suggest getting rubber cleaner from Butterfly, it's like having a new rubber surface everytime you clean it.
