Yes, faster arm movement and a very vertical stroke that ends up by your head. Also get under the ball and lift with your legs. The more you can use these factors the less you have to rely on opening up your racket. And the danger of opening up yor racket is that if you overestimate the amount of backspin the ball will pop up. Plus you can only hit the ball so hard with a racket open more than vertical.
