I read somewhere that Ryu SM is actually identical with Kim TS, but the handle is a bit different, that is on the backhand side. KTS is not available in my country for quite some time, and I have never seen RSM in the shop. They told me that it is difficult to get the Hinoki wood. There are even people saying that the new generation of KTS (RSM included) has inferior quality as far as material is concerned, because the earlier production uses older Hinoki. Then there is somebody who said that there is a "limited edition" for Bty one ply hinoki with higher price, using older Hinoki. |
