There's questions over the longevity of the grip of mark v. Another soft rubber alternative is coppa tagora. People say it's a very unique rubber, in that it is soft but its got a springy topsheet so that it feels hard. They say its very easy to create spin and loop and speed is "enough to win the point". I am seriously considering replacing my mendo mp with tagora on both sides, since i need to go back to basics and redevelop my control - an aspect that shines in tagora.
