Thanks for the info guys. I have a WICKED downspin shot that regularly ends volleys for me - though one opponent of mine turns my spin back on me with topspin hence the question. I have found that angling my paddle works well to return these. I have a Friendship Blue Thunder blade, and I adjusted it much further down toward to the control side with MUCH success in returning heavy topspin. I can now end volleys, while returning heavy topspin serves effectively.
