While I can't claim to have tried all Stiga pre-mades, the ones I have tried were uniformly horrible. Get a decent All to Off- blade with some controllable rubber. Once you learn the strokes and develop a playing style, you can get some more-aggressive or, at least more appropriate to your style, rubber. If your learning curve is like most, this should keep you busy for at least a year or two. If you get the Equipment Junkie (EJ) bug, not so long... Almost all (actually, probably ALL) manufacturer's make a blade or two that would be appropriate. The blade will cost you between $20 and $60 depending on whether you go with German, Japanese, or Chinese. Most of them ply fine. The rubber will cost between $12 and $35 per sheet depending on what you get. With the Japanese and Euro stuff, you can save quite a bit with a combo (blade + rubber + assembly). bes |
