Yeah, most people don't remove the rubber except to change or speed glue. Generally when people say reglue they mean for speed glue. That said, I do recommend you reglue your rubbers at least monthly. Keeps a livlier feel.

If you have a premade don't bother. Hard to get the rubber off those. Not really designed to replace rubber. I've done it...but it's a pain. Esp after several years.
