Thanks for the information on LKT ONE. I haven't tried BTY KTS. It's just too expensive. I'd guess Rorin is comparable to KTS, maybe just a bit softer but not as soft as Cypress-S. I saw its price just went up by almost 50% this week. Other 1-ply hinoki blades such as TSP Dynam or Yasaka Neptune are good too and cost $50 or less. If you want to spend a little more (but less than what KTS costs), then you can also consider other brands such as Darker, Kokutaku and Armstrong. They all make very good quality 1-ply Jpen blades. However you can only get them from Japan directly or other Asian countries (Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc). Folks on other forums have bought from http://www.iruiru.com/e/ online store. You might want to check out their selections of 1-ply Hinoki blades.
