I have only ever glued short pips to sponge, but the theories the same. Use plenty of glue. 1. Glue blade 2. Glue sponge and let both dry 3. Re-glue both and let sponge dry for at least 30 min. This will let the solvents evaporate and the sponge won't be stretched. 4. Stick sponge to blade with a roller making sure you don't stretch it at all. 5. You should now have a blade with a square sheet of sponge stuck to it.(Don't cut it) 6. Mark with a pen the outline of the blade(so as not to waste glue) 7. Glue inside the markings 4-5 times but let the glue dry between coates 8. DO NOT GLUE RUBBER 9.When completely dry. Roll rubber into a cylinder and place on sponge. From the handle end first slowly roll rubber onto sponge with a roller making sure there are no air bubbles 10. Place the blade under some heavy books overnight 11.Cut round edge using a sharp razor knife Its easy with a bit of care it should last for ages |
