There's lots of players in china who prefer the 729 rubbers to h3. Chuan traditionally used it. Lots of women players including the best ever deng yaping and of course wang nan (still does even though it's stamped h3..special run.)

But h3 has the $ to sponsor the players. 729 gives tons of rubber to the national and provincial teams as well. They prefer the euro-style stuff if they can get it.
