I was a newbie not to long ago. I had the same problem, i asked around just like you are. I suggest thebutterfly primorac blade(just the normal primorac NOT the solid core or carbon). my first rubber was some old rubber i dont even know the name of, but now i use siver, may be to fast for someone who just got into table tennis, but i suggest it for the future or now if you think you can control it.
