I think the difference mentioned could as much be age or batch of the topsheet as differences between the make. I have had many batches and many sources of 999 and 999t, and there's variation within the makes, and some seemed fresher than others. Weight is always around 39-40g for either topsheet uncut.

Finally, I've concluded that the only reliable difference between the two is that the 999t has a "t" printed after the 999.
