I have a cypress-s ,lendido, chiang peng lung,darker speed 70 and the ryu.The ryu is about 1.5mm thicker than the cypress i tell everyone the ryu is like the cypress on steroids but still has good control like the cypress if you want a little more power than the cypress go with the ryu.If you play 6 to 8 feet off the table than you will really notice the difference between the two.the ryu seems to have a tighter grain wood and is just a little harder but not to much
