I do not think the combination of Gatien Extra 3D and Geospin is good. The 3D is too flexible for that rubber.

I think the Cream on Jap sponge is perfect. What thickness are you using? If you're not already using 2.0, it's available on this site. I use it both sides of one of my Matsushita Pro blades (also available on this site) and it provides delicious control.
