It's a scale of sponge hardness. The softest sponge I know of is markv30 which is 30deg. Most supersoft rubbers are 35 (like donic S40). 40 is like medium soft. Medium in a japanese is like 42. Hard begins at 45. The old style chinese blue and orange sponges were 50. |
